Opening Materials 2011 I find what I expected, hundreds of useless materials if you just want to draw 2D lines and text. Immediately under AutoCAD 2011 I find Materials 2011 with no other folders under AutoCAD 2011. There are many websites that provide free downloadable fonts. I thought I opened every subdirectory (folder) looking for either 'support' or 'fonts' and found neither. To let AutoCAD recognize the fonts, simply copy SHX fonts to that folder. My SHX fonts are stored in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2013\Fonts. You can see where your AutoCAD store it in AutoCAD option, files tab. The SHX fonts are stored in support folder.
